To secure the room reservation, your credit card will be charged one room night stay as deposit. Full refund for cancellations up to 48 hours before check in date. Modifications are also allowed. A room reservation email will be sent to you and you need to note down the reservation code.

There are usually special offers for hotel stay e.g.  Annual Pass Benefits & other offers so do take advantage of this! If you don't have an Annual Pass yet but planning to buy one, just reserve the pass together with your hotel stay and you will enjoy the benefits.

Disney's Hollywood Hotel Park View Room

Disney's Hollywood Hotel's Parkview Room is one of the 3 types of room available for guests. It's the most expensive room as it's located on the highest floor and it has a view of the park (but really, it's not very clear). To me it wasn't much of a difference for the view.

The room had a King Size Bed. All 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids) had a tight squeeze! Should have requested for double beds instead! We managed anyhow without any incidences of anyone falling off the bed.

The bathroom was rather small. HK Disneyland Hotel was waaaaaay better.

Towels & bathrobes provided. Cute Mickey toiletries!

The room was also equipped with an LCD TV, wardrobe (smallish), electric jug, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, table, chair & cabinet. The mini fridge was empty and you are free to stock up with whatsoever. Vending machines selling drinks are located on selected floors.

HK Disneyland Hotel was much better for the price we paid!

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Garden View Room

The Garden View room is the most affordable & basic guest roon available at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. It's very spacious with two double beds. Just the right size for a family of 4. If you require a baby cot or bed rails to prevent the kids from rolling off the bed, just call housekeeping and they will be over in a jiffy with your requests.

Comfy sofa chair with poof for reading or a siesta.

Large flat screen LCD TV right in front of the bed for viewing. Good to keep the kids occupied. The TV cabinet has lots of deep drawers to store items.

 

Well-stocked mini bar. The safe could fit a Lenovo notebook computer. Children's melamine cups are available together with ceramic tea cups. A mini electric kettle comes in handy for tea or coffee. 2 bottles of complimentary mineral water provided for each night of your stay.

Ultra big wardrobe! Both my luggage bags could fit in there! Hanging on the rack were bathrobes - adult and kids as well. The ironing board and iron were both stored inside. Complimentary bedroom slippers. Basket for shoes.

I love the spaciousness of the bathroom.... one can use the toilet seat, and another person can use the sink and/or the bath - all at the same time. 

The bathroom featured Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. The mirror frame has Snow White and each of the dwarfs carved into it. See the close-up shot below:

More Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs.... in the form of toiletries e.g. emery board, cotton buds, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap.

This step-stool was really useful for the kids to climb on to reach the sink

The room was on the ground floor (level 3) so no need to go up and down the lifts to access the room. The balcony overlooks the garden.

Sleepy on the 'Please Do Not Disturb' Sign. Dopey was on the reverse : 'Please Tidy Up Room'

The room also has stationery i.e  pen, postcards, notepad, envelopes & paper. Postcards and letters can be mailed at the front desk. Otherwise, they make pretty good souveniers! For writing, there's a nice round table and chair. There's also a mirror and lamp beside the table. 

This was most useful - a clothes hanger/hook! Fully utilised!

In a nutshell - great room and worth the amount spent. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Star Journey

This is another special promotion ongoing at the same time as the Star Guest Program. If you have a valid Premium or Deluxe Annual Pass, you can bring along a VIP into Hong Kong Disneyland Park absolutely free! If you have a valid Value Annual Pass, a small chargeable fee of HKD$80 is required for the VIP entrance. The last day to redeem this special ticket is on 23 May 2010 at the Hong Kong Disneyland Main Entrance Ticket Booth and personal identification is required to confirm identity of the Annual Pass holder. 

Star Fireworks Dinner

The Star Fireworks Dinner is part of the Star Guest Program currently on at Hong Kong Disneyland. It's a great way to enjoy the spectacular fireworks show! The Star Guest Program is from 19 March - 23 May 2010.

The Star Fireworks Dinner starts at 6:30pm at the Plaza Inn Chinese Restaurant. The dinner is available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only and also on these dates :

April 1, April 5-6 & May 20

Price is HKD$300nett per person (3 years and above). Minimum of 2 eligible guests required per booking. A pre-show mocktail will be served to each eligible guest and there will also be a photo opportunity with 2 Disney characters before the start of the fireworks show & dinner.

Star Guest Recognition Pack

The Star Guest program runs from 19 March-23 May 2010 at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Step into Main Street USA and head straight to City Hall to receive a FREE Star Guest Recognition Pack! Limited quantities available each day on a first come first served basis so make sure you head on early to Disneyland. Gates open at 10am to Main Street USA. Other attractions at all the other lands start at 10:30am.

So what's in a Star Guest Recognition Pack? 

1) Button badge  

2) Star Guest Card

There are 48 different Star Guest cards to collect! These cards are given out by Disney cast members as a souvenier each time the Star Guest enjoys a magical moment. Selected Disney cast members have a stack of 'coupons' with special treats known as Star Experience.
Those coupons have a date stamped behind and is valid for that day only. Examples of coupons as below. The first one was for a photography session with a Disney character. The second one was for a story-telling session.

Then once you have experienced the magical moment, you will receive stickers & a card

Examples of stickers above. Cast members are 'heavily armed' with these and will distribute to all Star Guests everywhere around the park

These cards are only given by selected cast members upon completion of any Star Experience. The card has details of a character on one side and the other says which Star Experience you've had. Example above of Mulan : "I heard a Magical Story at Disneyland Today".

Disney's Hollywood Hotel is a 4-star hotel also located in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. It's a very modern hotel with sleek finishings & design. As it's name suggests, the hotel has a 'Hollywood' touch to it as you can see in the photos below. Service was efficient and cast members were all very helpful. 

If your room is not ready, you may check in your luggage at Bell Services. In the mean time you can enjoy Disneyland or grab a bite at the restaurants. The same thing for check out, luggage can be kept at Bell Services after checking out.

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Overview

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. This hotel exudes Victorian charm and splendour in all its furnishings, decorations etc. I enjoyed staying in this hotel and would highly recommend it to all.

 

Service was efficient and friendly. Upon arrival at the hotel via taxi from the airport, our luggage was immediately tagged and we were ushered into the hotel's magnificent lobby which ws bustling with activity. Check-in was a breeze as the children were entertained by Playhouse Disney Channel in a small enclosed area at the lobby near the counters leaving me to handle the check-in wthout distractions.
